Empecé grabando festivales, yates, eventos premium. Cosas con producción, con escenografía, con guión. Y después de cubrir la primera boda — la de unos amigos cercanos, pequeña, en patio — entendí que el material humano más fuerte que iba a tener delante de una cámara estaba ahí. Sin guión.
I started filming festivals, yachts, premium events. Things with sets, scripts, production. Then I shot my first wedding — close friends, small, in a courtyard — and understood that the strongest human material I'd ever have in front of a lens lived right there. Unscripted.
Fundé ÁLTER porque el segmento de bodas de lujo en México casi siempre se sentía rígido: imagen cuadrada, "tiene que ser serio." Yo quiero que sea serio en el oficio y juguetón en el trato. I founded ÁLTER because the luxury wedding segment in Mexico almost always felt stiff — square imagery, "it has to be serious." I want it serious in the craft and playful in the relationship. So you're as relaxed with me as you are with your brother. And the day looks cinematic without me ever asking you to pose strangely.
